Genetic Diversity Studies of Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] Germplasm Accessions using Cluster and Principal Component Analysis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] is a self-pollinated diploid leguminous crop (2 n=40) originated from China. It called as ‘Cow of the field’ or ‘Gold soil’ because high oil and protein content. The objective study to determine genetic diversity using cluster principal component analysis among 135 soybean germplasm. Methods: experiment was conducted at Department Pulses, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during rabi, 2021-22. A total germplasm laid down in augmented block design II. Principal were performed accessions GRAPES Ggt 2.0 software respectively. Result: Based on components analysis, wide observed MAUS 60, JS 98-61, MACS 1460, EC 18736 PK 1038 genotypes traits viz., number clusters per plant, pods plant single yield contributed divergence. above mentioned could be used for selection future breeding programme.

Genetic variation in an inbred plant: variation in tissue cultures of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill].

Although soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] grows as an inbreeding, generally homozygous, plant, the germplasm of the species contains large amounts of genetic variation. Analysis of soybean DNA has indicated that variation of RFLP (restriction fragment length polymorphism) markers within the species usually entails only two alleles at any one locus and that mixtures of such dimorphic loci acco...

Genetic diversity and population structure analysis of Kala bhat (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) genotypes using SSR markers

BACKGROUND Kala bhat (Black soybean) is an important legume crop in Uttarakhand state, India, due to its nutritional and medicinal properties. In the current study, the genetic variabilities present in Kala bhat were estimated using SSR markers and its variability was compared with other improved soybean varieties cultivated in Uttarakhand state, India. RESULTS Seventy-five genotypes cultivat...

Comparison of Genetic Diversity between Chinese and American Soybean (Glycine max (L.)) Accessions Revealed by High-Density SNPs

Soybean is one of the most important economic crops for both China and the United States (US). The exchange of germplasm between these two countries has long been active. In order to investigate genetic relationships between Chinese and US soybean germplasm, 277 Chinese soybean accessions and 300 US soybean accessions from geographically diverse regions were analyzed using 5,361 SNP markers. Th...

Proteomic Analysis of Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] Roots Inoculated with Bradyrhizobium japonicum Strain CPAC 15

This research intended to analyze the expression pattern of proteins in roots of the Brazilian soybean cultivar Conquista when inoculated with Bradyrhizobium japonicum CPAC 15, a strain broadly used in commercial inoculants in Brazil. At ten days after bacterial inoculation, whole-cell proteins were extracted from roots and separated by 2-D gel electrophoresis. Comparative analysis revealed sig...
